Our love letter to the planet

Our Commitment

At the core of everything we do at Oceanus, there’s a strong commitment to sustainability. As a brand, we think about the impact of our actions and we respect the environment we work in and the people we work with. We want to lead the industry and prove that high quality and luxurious design can be achieved without harming the environment.

Product

When it comes to the production it is important for us to use the right fabrics and minimise textile waste. All our pieces are fully sustainable. The Lycra we use is ECONYL®, a fabric made from recycled fishing nets regenerated from the ocean. The embroidery beading is biodegradable, which means it is decomposable and thereby not polluting the environment. We do not use any animal derived materials.

As we strive to be zero waste, we make sure to reuse all beading from damaged or defective items. Our facemasks and smaller accessories are made from left over cut-offs from the swimwear production, and our unused stock from past collections is either recycled or remade into a new style.

People

We work only with responsible manufacturers, which share our values and provide safe and fair treatment of workers. All of our pieces are hand stitched in London.

At Oceanus, we don’t allow chemicals to be used on our products. All our dyes are natural to ensure safety not only for the planet but also for our customers.

Packaging

We are committed to circularity also with our packaging. Our sustainable product is shipped to you in our recyclable packaging. In order to reduce our plastic consumption, we are dedicated to use only packaging that is recyclable or compostable.
